Audi RS6 Vs Nissan GTR

I love cars and am a self proclaimed petrol head and at this moment in time a very envious one. My very good friends and client Whitestone Solicitors have just taken delivery of their new whip. Not content with the top mark cruisers they currently have, they decided that going faster is a good thing, and being high flying legal eagles; the easy option would be to go for a Porsche, DB9, or a Mazzer, but being men of taste and distinction they chose a more discreet road missile.

To celebrate their recent success in securing themselves as the Sponsors for the Everton Tigers Basket ball team, who are the top slam dunking club in the British Basketball league, much like their favorite club Everton FC, we were being treated to night out in Manchester. I’m not a big football man myself but I’m sure Stefan our resident football expert would gladly shed some light on the whole football thing.

Anyway, I’m invited to come dine with them at East 2 East in Manchester and there are whispers that we’re also collecting a new car. Before we are seated, WS dart for the door with big grins on their faces. Outside pull up 2 beautiful blue Audi Rs6’s, the new saloon and the Avante version, the sound of 2 x twin turbo’d V10 burbling is something to behold! The cars were fully loaded 572bhp powerhouses, we talking 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, stomping on to a top speed of  155 miles per hour (restricted), did I mention TWIN-turbo?

The Audi RS6 pales its rivals, the likes of the M5 and the Jaguar S Type R and as Leaky would say, “That’s SICK” – indeed it is Leaky.

From the moment you set eyes on the RS6 you notice the blistered arches, the huge brake disks, the twin exhausts and extra bits of kit. Inside the car is all business, buttons and starship settings galore. The overall engineering and detail in the car is precise, from the embossd RS6 in leather seats to the thundering sound of the engine.

As soon as Mr Whitestone planted his legendary lead foot in to the carpet; we all scrambling for our seat belts and developed HUGE comical grins our faces. We were all caught out by the instant punch of a twin turbo V10 4 wheeled incarnation of the God the Thunder, this thing just launched to dangerous speeds in an instant. Like a predator bounding down the tarmac, lesser cars moved out of the way like terrified rabbits.

There’s only one thing for it, the one car that will match this German beast is the Iconic Nissan GTR, the modern benchmark in performance. A car so powerful that the tyres are inflated with nitrogen to stop them exploding and will go from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Now thats what I call a proper road missile.
