We Have Kittens

My Bengal cat Milly has just given birth to her first litter of 8 kittens, that’s right 8, and the vet told us to expect 4 at the most. We are however down to 7 as one died shortly after birth.

What I didn’t realise is that cats can get impregnated and have a litter from multiple cats! That explained a lot when we had 2 totally white, 1 grey, 3 black and 2 Bengal marked kittens of which one died. I’m definitely getting her spayed at the next visit to the vets. Thankfully 4 of the kittens have already been earmarked by friends and family, I’ve now got to find homes for the remaining litter. I think we may be keeping the pick of the litter – a black coated boy with a gold stripes – he looks very cute indeed.
